Salt water fishing activity in Mobile Print E-mail

Folks... I am interested to know who would be interested in a day trip out on the Gulf of Mexico during our 2013 reunion.

Assuming the weather cooperates, there are many venues who would allow us to venture out to sea for a day of salt water fishing. Before the reunion committee commits time to investigating the many fishing Captains in Mobile, we would like to know how many shipmates would like to go salt water fishing. Please respond to this web site with an email letting the committes know an approximate number of participants. The number of folks who want to go fishing will determine the size of the boat and the cost per participant. A web link (below) has been provided for your reference concerning the types of fishing activities available. Thanks shipmates and we'll see you next October. Guys...
We have set a firm date for the salt water fishing excursion. Those who want to go fishing should plan of going out on the Gulf on Friday, 18 October 2013. The boat is the LADY ANN out of Dauphin Island, Alabama. The trip is scheduled for six hours departing at 0800. Captain Mike Thierry will provide everything needed to catch fish, i.e.; poles, bait, hooks, etc. We must bring our own refreshments. The total cost of the excursion is $1,760.00 or about $110 per passenger (for a full boat of 16 passengers).

The Reunion Committee realizes this prices the event out of some of our shipmates budgets. Consequently, we can cancel this venue with a 30 day priior notice and have our deposit refunded. Given this cost, it is imparative that we have a firm committment from those who want to fish by 1 September 2013. Please email JJ Jenkins with your committment and send your fees to Dennis Urffer to hold your place along the gunwale. Dennis' address is included in our crew listing.
Thanks,
Steve Hunt...
