The Reunion is Next Month!
Written by Gerry Young

There are still dozens of shipmates who’ve told us they were coming to the reunion, but haven’t yet registered.  I understand there’s been some confusion, because we sent out questionnaire forms and also a survey to see what activities everyone was interested in.  But in order to attend the reunion, you have to register with the Association.  If you’re planning on staying at the hotel, you also need to make your own reservations with them.  We can’t do that for you, because they need a personal credit card number to secure the reservation.

Tunny Reunion - Coming up on Last Call
Written by Gerry Young
Aug 20, 2011 at 12:00 AM

Just a reminder that if you intend on coming to our San Diego Reunion (October 19 -23 – just two months away), you need to do two things:

1.      Fill out your registration form (downloaded from the website or in yoour email).  I realize we’ve sent out various mailings, including a questionnaire to see who’s interested in attending.  But the registration form and payment for the events you and your guest(s) would like to attend must be filled out and sent in to Wally Womack (the Treasurer of the TUNNY Association).

Note: The last four digits of Wally's zip code are 3878, instead of 7138 as shown on the registration form.

Introduction

It was sometime in the spring of 1967 that Jim Mullins reported aboard Tunny. He was a piss and vinegar Philadelphian fresh from sub school.

Dinks in Taiwan

This is a morality tale.  It illustrates the principle that junior officers should always trust their instincts rather than their intellect (such as it is) in making decisions that would place young sailors in the path of temptation.
